2023 Calendar of Events

Grave Digging Work Party with Willow
October 27-29th

Our work parties are a great opportunity to support White Eagle work, and to learn more about conservation burial.
We will split up into small groups to grid and prepare grave places, with multiple 2 hour work sessions, and then some time to be quiet on the land.

Washington willow weaver Mo Walrath will join us to help us learn more about willow, with the opportunity to begin weaving.

Please bring gloves, and shovels if you have them, sturdy boots, and sunglasses or other eye protection. There will be some indoor sleeping spaces available, as well as plenty of places to tent camp.

We will provide dinner on Friday evening, all meals on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday morning. Please visit the Work Parties page on the Ekone site for more detailed logistics information. Please RSVP with Jodie, and include your lodging preferences and dietary considerations.

Throughout the year:
These weekends, held once a month (except during summer camp season), are a lovely way to get to know the community and do conservation, forestry, and garden projects on the land. Work Parties start at 5pm on Friday, with dinner and an overview of the weekend, then Saturday is full of service projects, with shared meals and evening relaxation time. Sunday breakfast is followed by more project work, and then folks head back into the world, hopefully fueled up with inspiration and satisfaction of work well done!
If you’d like to be on the Work Party email list or to RSVP for a particular work party weekend, please email our volunteer coordinator Michelle: Michelle@ekone.org
